Spartan volleyball adds versatile player from Florida

Kelsea Pitts recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Southwestern Community College.

Southwestern Head Volleyball Coach Shaela Camp recently announced the addition of Kelsea Pitts to the program for the 2020-21 year.

Pitts, of Wewahitchka, Florida, recently signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Spartans. The daughter of Aaron and Trish Pitts graduated from Wewahitchka High School this spring.

At Wewahitchka High School, Pitts earned numerous honors. She was named the team's most versatile player with the most hits during her freshman year. As a sophomore, she was named rookie of the year. During her junior season, she was named the team's brick wall for most blocks and the hitter of the year. As a senior, she recorded the most kills on the team. In addition to excelling for Wewahitchka High School, Pitts also played in the AAU Nationals twice.

Pitts intends to major in education at Southwestern.
