Southwestern Spartans Women's Golf Signs Emma Sand for 2026-27 Season
Southwestern Community College Athletics is excited to announce the signing of Emma Sand from West Central Valley High School to the Spartan women's golf program for the 2026-27 season.
 
Sand, a standout golfer from Stuart, Iowa, becomes a key addition to the relaunched Southwestern Spartans women's golf program. Coach Doug North and the Spartans view her as a foundational piece who will play a major role in building the team's future success.
 
"I am super excited to get Emma to campus this fall," said Coach Doug North. "She is an athlete that isn't scared of a challenge, and I promise we will challenge her. Her best golf is ahead."
 
Sand shared her excitement in her own announcement:"Thank you to my family for always supporting me and believing in me through every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to WCV Golf for all the memories, support, and for helping me grow as a player and person. And a huge thank you to Coach North, who I'm excited to say will be my coach next year at SWCC. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to get to work."
 
A talented and driven competitor, Sand brings strong high school experience and a competitive mindset to the Spartans. Her commitment strengthens the program's momentum as it continues its relaunch.The Southwestern Spartans look forward to welcoming Emma Sand to campus this fall.
