The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference announced their All-Region teams for softball today and four Spartans were named as First Team selections.

Southwestern sophomores Brylee Kemper of Saint Joseph, Missouri, outfielder; Kaitlyn Schad of Norwalk, infielder; Madeleine Shwaluk of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada, outfielder; and Paige Shwaluk of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada, infielder, all earned First Team honors. In addition, Schad was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Year for the conference (see related article). 

Southwestern's Thayda Houser of Centerville, freshman, pitcher; Ali Enright of Corydon, sophomore, infielder; and Hailey Chew of Murray, sophomore, outfielder, were named Second Team All Region.

The Spartans are coached by third-year Head Coach Nick Weinmeister and first-year Assistant Coach Casey-May Huff.
