Cole Higgins (pictured above, center), SWCC athletic director, was honored last week with the Aspiring Leaders Scholarship at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Convention, from April 13-17 in Kansas City, Missouri. Awards were presented on Thursday evening by Andrew Givens, the NJCAA Foundation executive director, and Joanna Michel, NJCAA Foundation board member, during the NJCAA Awards Dinner.

The Aspiring Leaders Program provided emerging leaders with targeted sessions, networking, and mentorship opportunities to strengthen the next generation of NJCAA leadership.
